‘Dani Pedrosa: The Silent Samurai’ documentary is available online
First broadcast on the #Vamos channel on Movistar+ on December 19, it will be adapted to Japanese and German as it goes on its worldwide travels over the course of the year.
Told in first person, the narrative reveals a professional who has struggled since he was a child to become a motorcycling great, telling both the story of his sporting life and his more domestic side. Dreams, challenges, pressure, let-downs, insecurity, confidence, work and hope … The parts of Pedrosa’s career that have never been seen before.
The documentary also features appearances from key characters from Pedrosa’s personal and professional life, such as Marc Márquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Kevin Schwantz, Juan Martínez, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Emilio Pérez de Rozas, Alberto Puig, and of course his parents Basilia and Antonio.
Another of the major protagonists of The Silent Samurai is Mike ‘Woolie’ Woolaway, director of design at the legendary Deus Ex Machina workshop in Los Angeles. Mike spent more than 500 hours working to craft a ‘café racer’ to capture the rider’s spirit. This delightfully unique two-stroke Honda 750cc has marked a new start in life for Dani.
