Optim TV is a Barcelona-based audio-visual production company founded in 2009 specialising in documentaries, television entertainment programmes, and movies, as well as the development of new formats. The company is led by Enric Canals, a journalist and producer with extensive experience in the audio-visual sector.

Optim TV’s most recent project was L'Hospital que mira el Mar (The Hospital Overlooking the Sea), about the 100th anniversary of the Hospital del Mar, a beachfront hospital in Barcelona. The company previously co-produced, along with TV3 and RTVE, Los olvidados de la Línea Maginot (The Forgotten Souls of the Maginot Line), a documentary about Republican refugees who participated in the construction of a defensive wall to protect France from German invasion before World War II.

Other historical documentaries of ours are: Jesús Monzón. El líder olvidado por la historia (Jesús Monzón, History’s Forgotten Leader); Pujol Catalunya. El consell de Guerra (Pujol Catalunya, The War Council); Somiar un país, construir un somni. La Mancomunitat de Catalunya 100 anys (The Dream of a Nation, Building the Dream: The 100-Year Commonwealth of Catalonia); and Barcelona 1962. L’ombra dels Creix (Barcelona in 1962: The Shadow of Growth).

We have also produced television entertainment programmes such as Benvinguts a l'hort (Welcome to the Garden) (2012) and the feature film El Perfecto Desconocido (The Perfect Stranger) (2011).
